How to Install ESXi In Ravello AWS/Google Cloud Lab

Requirements:

Steps

Open the application that you want to Create ESXi in. If you don’t know how to create an application in Ravello please follow these instructions

Go to VMs and Click the add icon

Go to the General tab and Rename your ESXi Machine to VSAN ESXi 1

Go to disk, CD and browse and attach your ESXi ISO

If you used the Ravello blueprint for ESXi, you will notice that it comes with these specs. Adjust them as needed, but for my lab I leave everything as is:

Save and update your application and allow it to start after update as shown bellow

Allow the app a few minutes for it to publish the VM and access your VM using the Console Button.

From console, we can install ESXi. If you need step by step instructions, follow this guide.

Final Thoughts,

I found that its super easy to deploy ESXi on Ravello. For best performance, I added 4CPUs but this lab will also work with 2CPUs (slower)
